Lebensgeschichte
1996

Avery Garretson was born on January 26th 1996.

As a toddler Avery was the chubbiest kid and full of energy. Avery feared nothing as a youngster. Living with his older brother Kyle Avery followed his every move. Kyle started skateboarding. Avery had a board following right behind. He became a quite accomplished skater. The two brothers were like 2 peas in a pod. Avery adored his older brother.

When he started school he absolutely loved it. He was very fond of many of his elementary and middle school teachers. He was the Edinburgh spelling bee champion in the 5th grade. He was a true scholar never missing the A-B honor roll. In high school he took all the college prep classes ranking in the top 10 in his class.

A natural video game player like most young kids today. Avery spent a lot of time with friends like Lucas, Chris, and Jeff. Spending time with Lucas seemed to always leave Avery bruised or bloodied. Whether it was a skateboarding trick gone bad or a two wheel mishap but he cherished the time spent with Lucas.

As he got older he started thinning out. He became quite tall with very large hands and feet (size 15). He had the cutest dimples and such a warm smile that would light up a room.

Education remained very important always concerned about his future. Avery could learn with little effort. He took up French in school and like everything else he learned and excelled at it with ease. Mrs. Hightshue was his amazing teacher as he would put it. He was always speaking or singing French around the house. Avery had planned on attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn to study computer software engineering.

He started working at the bait shop at 14 sorting bee moth and running the register. He usually spent half his paycheck buying rods, lures and anything else he thought he could catch the big one with. He spent a lot of the summer fishing with Jeff, Zach, and Tyler or whoever would go fishing at the golf course with him. Avery even hooked himself once with a lure just below the eye sending us to the ER for a hook removal. After the bait shop he worked at Challenge Plastics. Avery always asked for more hours. He spent almost all his money on girls and other friends. He was a very generous kid. Whether it was for a friend or a good cause Avery took great pride in earning and sharing his earned wages.

As a teenager Avery and some of his friends bought MMA gloves testing each other on how tough they were. Avery spent a lot of time with Mom and Willy at the horse track . He was an expert handicapper and never had to pick up a program. Avery also took an interest in the Marines. He learned everything he could about the Marines. He trained with other young men hoping to join the reserves one day. Avery also took guitar lessons and recently took up singing.

In his last 2 years Avery spent a lot of time with his good friends Hunter and Jonathan. Avery loved his young niece Brooklyn dearly. He spent a lot of time with her playing and making her laugh. Avery wanted everyone to laugh. He was a very sensitive and sincere young man. Avery had several girlfriends. He was such a good looking kid never having a problem finding a girl. The best words to describe Avery are Kind, Caring,Charming, Funny, Talented, Bright, Respectful, Generous, Thoughtful and Loyal

We lost Avery December 1st 2012. We love and miss him more than anyone can imagine.
